Maybe there’s a better way of looking at this and that is that each chakra acts as a
catalyst to trigger off the latent light in the next chakra. So it’s not exactly the light of the muladhara that is being transmitted, but it is awakening the light that is subliminal in the next chakra which is the svadisahna chakra, the second chakra.
And it is useful to represent that chakra as having the kind of saffron, the robes of the Sanyasans in India. But it’s simply a way of arriving at a finer mode of vibration of light instead of the grosser. But more importantly, remember that the second chakra is connected with form, form without matter, if you remember. And therefore, as you concentrate on that chakra, try to become aware of the form of your aura. It does not have a profile but it, well the configuration of it, it does not have a profile. But if you concentrate on it, if you become aware of it, you notice certain salient facts. First of all, you notice that there’s not just one column of light, but three columns, one central and two lateral in the center of your aura, which corresponds with the autonomic and central nervous system in your spine and naturally your left and right.
And then somehow, since the body absorbs light from the environment, then the aura does have somehow the shape of the body. It espouses the profile of the body although it does not have a profile. And particularly, importantly, the structure of your countenance, let’s say the face of your aura in the fabric of light, is extremely significant. It varies according to your attunement so that if you exalt in the ecstasy of light, the face of your aura will become very beautiful. That is your countenance. And will reflect something of the heavenly spheres.
If you are nurturing resentment and hatred and jealousy and impatience and a kind of miserable attitude towards life, then of course that will reflect itself in the very configuration of the light of not only of course in the face of your aura but your whole aura.
